One Day — Four Fabulous
Homeschool Workshops!
Designed to Help You:
Improve your homeschooling no matter how long you've been at it or how much experience you have.
Help you recognize and create magnificent opportunities for learning based on your child's learning style.
Provide out-of-the-box answers to "What are we gonna do today?"
Help you build and enrich your children's homeschool portfolio.
Open your mind to the abundance of free and low-cost educational opportunities all around you.
Teach you how to make every day a fun learning adventure.
Show you how to use the world as your classroom on a day-to-day basis
The day will include "Discovery Sessions"
where you can share your ideas and resources with other homeschool parents to enhance learning
for everyone. You'll get a chance to meet some new homeschool friends who have
similar interests and mindsets. (What a relief...and isn't it about time?)
Plus, at the end of the day, you can enjoy an open Q&A
Session with Diane Flynn Keith and special guest, Rita Reese. Ask them ANY question
about ANY aspect of homeschooling. Be prepared for unconventional responses from these
experienced homeschool moms and mentors who believe abandoning a conventional "school
model" for education in the home — is a better way to assure your family has an
extraordinary, happy and fulfilling homeschool experience.
Here Are The 4 Exciting Workshops You'll Enjoy:
Workshop # 1
Carschooling!
Turn Travel Time Into Learning Time
with Author, Diane Flynn Keith
Celebrate the launch of the new, second edition of Diane's popular book,
Carschooling: Over 350 Entertaining Games & Activities to Turn Travel Time into Learning
Time! Discover her unique, humorous and lively solutions to creating "road scholars"
out of your kids in a fun and interactive workshop.
Whether you're shuttling your kids to park days, co-op classes, sports
activities, libraries, music lessons, friend's houses, or field trips...or taking a 500-mile
road trip, Diane shows you how to better utilize time in the car with engaging games and
activities that actually teach every subject (math, science, language arts, etc.) while they
entertain. Start your engines and get rolling on the real information highway in this lively
presentation!
You'll have the opportunity
to get your personalized, autographed
copy of the new edition of Diane's book, Carschooling.
Workshop # 2
Discover Your Child's Learning Style!
with LearningSuccess™ Coach, Rita Reese
Based on the book, "Discover Your Child's Learning Style!"
Before you began planning your curriculum, did you remember to
consider: Dispositions, Modalities, Interests, Talents & Environment? What are these
5 aspects of learning — and how can knowing what they are forever change the way
you homeschool your child?
In this workshop discover how the unique traits of the Performing
and Inventing dispositions are the key to engaging students. Or why a student high in
Thinking/Creating is often told she is not paying attention! How is an auditory verbal
learner different from an auditory listening learner — and why does it matter?
Participate in an interactive demonstration of why students (and adults)
sometimes just don't get it and why a one-size-fits-all model doesn't work. You will
leave this workshop with an understanding of how having a blueprint of your child's
unique learning style will ensure success "every time & on purpose!"
Workshop participants
will have the opportunity to purchase LearningSuccess™ Profiles!
About Rita Reese...

the Ventura LearningSuccess™ Institute, since 2001. She has her B.A. in Literature,

workshops, trainings, and private consultations.
Workshop # 3
Calendar Schooling!
Learning Through The Days of the Year
with Diane Flynn Keith
Need some innovative ideas for learning history, social studies,
science, math, music and more? Look no further than your calendar! In this workshop we'll
explore the many subjects you can cover each day of the year. Through commemorative dates,
festivals, holidays and celebrations you'll discover how easy it is to find resources and
activities to turn every day into a fun and meaningful learning experience.
Find out why
Circle March 14th on your calendar and get some great ideas for a math party in honor of
National Pi Day. Take an apple-picking field trip in September to honor the birthday of
John Chapman a.k.a. Johnny Appleseed. Re-enact the discovery of the tomb of Egypt's King
Tut in November with a do-it-yourself archeological dig!
We'll take a month-by-month look at the many educational
holidays you can celebrate with your children. Discover simple, inexpensive, stress-free
activities and resources that will transform your calendar into a curriculum that the kids
will think is just plain fun!
Every workshop participant
receives a copy
of the exclusive Learning Calendar.
Workshop # 4
A Chocolate Curriculum!
With Diane Flynn Keith
Join Diane for a decadent and tasteful exploration of how to learn
every subject through chocolate. Discover the ancient brew created from rainforest cacao
seeds. Learn how Aztecs used it to barter with Spanish explorers who introduced the beverage
to Europe.
Find out what chocolate treat originated in the backdrop of the Spanish
Civil War and how to use it to learn math, science, language arts, health, economics and more!
See for yourself how learning opportunities exist in the simple pleasures that are all around
us — and why that's a recipe for sweet homeschool success! And yes, samples will be provided.
Every workshop participant receives
a "chocolate curriculum kit"
to take home and share with their family (invaluable).
Did you see the word "CHOCOLATE"
in that last workshop description? Do you need any other reason to attend this fun, informative, refreshing
and inspirational event? I didn't think so.

Details, details, details...
The Homeschool Festival of Workshops
is designed as sort of a "Home Educators' In-Service Day" — kind of
like school teachers have but much better!
Think of it as continuing education for the dedicated homeschool parent and a real
investment in yourself and your family.
I want as many homeschool parents to attend
this event as possible because the information you'll acquire will invigorate, motivate,
and inspire you — and it's the very best remedy for a case of homeschool
angst or burnout. If you apply what you learn here, it will improve cooperation
in your homeschool and your overall relationship with your kids. It's designed for adults;
please do not bring children to the seminar, including babes-in-arms.
Please plan ahead to BRING YOUR OWN LUNCH,
coffee, tea and other refreshments as needed for your comfort and convenience. Bottled
water will be available. However, no other beverages or refreshments will be provided
(except chocolate). There are no restaurants located close enough to the Hall to make
leaving the facility (to get a bite to eat) practical. So, again, please bring whatever
you need to sustain yourself throughout the day. :)
This event is undervalued
at $127 per person. There isn't anything else like it on the planet.
I want you to come to this event, so here's the deal:
Lucky Leprechaun
Savings! Register online by March 17th, and SAVE FORTY DOLLARS. That's right. You can
attend the event and get all of the perks for an investment in yourself of just $77 — and
you're worth it! Married couples receive a
$25 discount and pay just $129, sharing some workshop materials.
Remember, this offer ends on March 17th. The price
goes up on March 18th, 2010. Online Registration Closes at Noon (12:00 PM, PST), March 19, 2010.
At-the-door registration is discouraged due to limited seating, and everyone (including married
couples) pay full price at the door.
100% Guarantee!
Go ahead, register and attend the ENTIRE
Homeschool Fest at NO RISK whatsoever. If for any
reason, by the end of the day, you honestly feel I did not deliver on the information promised,
just quietly turn in your materials to my event assistant, and ask for a full 100%
refund. We'll happily oblige.
You see, I'm THAT confident that nothing
out there comes CLOSE to the quality of my Homeschool Fest of
Workshops and the amazing information you're going to learn.
And that's my promise to you.
Diane Flynn Keith
Can't wait to see you there!
Cancellation Policy: If, after purchasing your ticket, you discover that
you cannot attend, you can cancel your reservation 14 days prior to the event and receive a full
refund less a $25 service charge. If you cancel your registration with less than 14 days prior to
the event, we will not be able to refund your admission fee because of contractual obligations.
However, you are welcome to apply the fee to subsequent Homefires' seminars and events through
December 31st, 2010! You are also welcome to transfer your ticket to another person.
