2nd Appeals Court to Reconsider
2008-03-26: The Second District Court of Appeal in Los Angeles had decided to grant a rehearing of the case that reverberated through the homeschooling community. In a surprise decision the court has hinted that it may re-evaluate the entire February 28th ruling.

CA State Homeschool Organizations Retain Legal Counsel
2008-03-08: The non-sectarian state homeschool organizations, CHN and HSC, announced that they have retained legal counsel. The law firms will represent and defend homeschoolers in light of the 2nd Appellate Court ruling that rendered the opinion that independent homeschooling is illegal except through the credentialed teacher/tutor exemption.
