ClickSchooling Reviewer Michael Hardt wrote today's ClickSchooling Review. (Read Michael's bio below.)

The "Think!" blog is a very simple website that poses weekly engineering challenges for children. Each Saturday, a new challenge is posted. Homeschooling families have a week to solve the challenge and post photos of their efforts.

What kinds of challenges? The quirky, quick, inexpensive kind you can do with materials around the house. I'll let the September 27 challenge speak for itself:

"Place the following materials on the table:

• 1 bag of marshmallows
• 2 paper cups
• 10 paperclips
• 5 sticks of spaghetti
• 1 inch of tape
• 10 inches of string

Suspend as many marshmallows as possible at least 1 inch above the table. Snap a picture and send us your results..."

There are also a few "ongoing" challenges that you can check out on the right side of the screen: build a cardboard boat, make clothes out of plastic bags, etc.

No prizes, no complicated rules, no pressure. Just fun, creativity, and learning! Bookmark this site to follow the blog regularly.

Michael Hardt is a homeschool dad to two children ages 8 and 9. He says his wife, Camille, does at least 90% of the teaching, but he tries to get involved where he can. :) The Hardt family lives in rural New Hampshire so Internet resources mean a lot to them. Michael used to teach college literature. Now, he manages an engineering team for a software company that makes digital maps.
